McCall is SEVEN

Today is McCall's seventh birthday. I can't believe our little girl is seven and about to start second grade! McCall asked for games for her Nintendo DS and money to go shopping. She is such a GIRL! Traditionally, the kids get to pick their favorite breakfast and dinner for their birthday. She chose to have wheat pancakes, bacon and Tampico for Breakfast. For dinner, it was Chicken Pillows and Invisible Kool-Aid. For dessert, she wanted a "purse" cake. I had never attempted to make a homemade cake in any kind of shape before. Thanks to Ashlee for the idea and instructions, it turned out DARLING. Then we ended the night with her favorite boardgame, CLUE. Sunday is a hard day for a birthday since you can't really go out, so we made our own fun at home. We love having McCall in our family. With her firecracker personality she makes everyday exciting at our house to say the least. For those of you that know her, she is hilarious and we love her soo much! Happy Birthday, Smeegie Smeegs!!

Crazy Days of Summer

The last few days and weeks have been filled with a trip to Koosharem, UT. four wheeling, days in the sun at Raging waters, the pool and at the Gateway. We are having a blast, but needless to say, the kids are definately bushed by the end of the day. One night, all FOUR of them sacked out in the car before we could even get them home and into bed. That is some SERIOUS fun if you ask me. I've loved spending this fun time with my kids even when it wears us all out.

I'm very grateful...

So, I thought I'd just start this process by saying how grateful I am for my awesome husband. He is amazing. We've now been married for 12 years. Marriage is a challenge for all couples but I'm glad he's by my side. He is the most positive person you will ever meet. He truly sees the best side of EVERYTHING. Even when times are tough, he always lightens the mood. He helps me be a better person and we have so much fun together. I appreciate all that he does for our family and what he does to help me as a Wife and a Mom. He is really supportive in all the things I set out to do and he is patient with my many shortcomings. He is an amazing Dad and our kids adore him. He is always serving others and often times sees their needs before they even need to ask. I appreciate his outgoing personality and ambition in life. Stoney loves people and makes friends wherever he goes. He has a funny sense of humor and ya just can't help love Stoney. He'll be your best friend and make you feel comfortable whenever you are in his presence. I'm so thankful to have him in my life. I love him so much. Thanks, Hon, for just being you.

Alright, after much kicking and screaming, I've finally decided to become a blogger. I am not a highly technical person so this will be a challenge. But, I love keeping up with all my friends and family with their cute blogs so we are now one of you. Be patient as we figure it all out. More to come soon!
